Once Upon A Time . . . A Fine Art Project

I am so incredibly excited to announce the Fine Art Project we're doing for the Class of 2013! This year, I will be photographing a total of eight members of the upcoming senior class modeling as various classic fairy tale characters for a series titled Once Upon A Time. At the end of the project, these images will be printed on art paper, custom-framed and presented in an art show. Tickets will be sold for the show (which will also include time for mingling and refreshments!) and all proceeds will benefit the Bartlesville High School art department!

We have already cast several of our models, but are still looking for a few more! If you are, or know of, a senior that is interested in participating in the project, please have them contact Emily at emily@emilypotts.com!

While we will not display the actual finished image until the unveiling at the show, we will release some "teaser" images on facebook as each image in the series is completed. Can you guess what the first one is?

We've been busy!

My poor, neglected blog! Since adopting a facebook page, several years ago, I simply have not treated this blog with the respect it deserves! Once again, I am so behind on posting images from sessions. Here are a few favorites from a few recent sessions . . . I hope you all love them as much as I do!

 

Limited Edition Heirloom Fields!

Last year, our Heirloom Fields Limited Edition sessions sold out in a matter of days, with most appointments reserved in only a few hours! I am so excited to announce that we are holding our Heirloom Fields Sessions again in 2012, and we are opening up a few more spots!

Set in a gorgeous, grassy field, these fifteen-minute sessions include an 8x10, a set of wallets and a facebook photo of your favorite image for only $125! Many of other beautiful products are also available at special pricing.

I am a SENIOR - the video

I am so excited about this project! We are creating a video titled, “I am a Senior” that will showcase all of the amazing talents and traits of the members of the upcoming senior class. Participation in this project is open to every member of the class of 2013 and is TOTALLY FREE!

Each student that participates will choose a word that best describes them (musician, athlete, dancer, artist, intellectual, friend, actor). Emily will photograph that student in a stylized portrait that includes a sign with the word chosen by the senior. The images will all be featured in an image video that will show what the upcoming class is all about!
For every student that chooses to participate, Emily will donate $5 to Bartlesville High School for extracurricular and enrichment programs . .  . up to $500!

Every participant will receive a FREE facebook photo and will be entered into a contest to win a FREE Vogue Senior Session and portrait package from Emily Potts Photography! All you need to participate is your parents’ permission. One big blog post!

Oh my sweet cyber-friends . . . thank you for your patience with me as you waited F.O.R.E.V.E.R for a post. I have been so incredibly busy with the studio and with my photography education and my poor EPP blog was so totally neglected! Here is the past few weeks in a nutshell!

We've had some really cute kiddos come through the studio, and some gorgeous babies too!

I photographed a few of this year's seniors and a couple from the upcoming class:

And I had the huge honor of teaching other professional photographers at Wedding and Portrait Photographers International's conference in Las Vegas! This is the largest photography conference in the world and it was such an amazing experience!

Needless to say, it's been a a teensy bit busy around here, but I am so grateful for the amazing opportunities I've had and I am so blessed to have you all in my life and so thankful you all allow me to have a little part in yours! BNTM | Season 2

We had a blast with the Class of 2012's models - they were all so cute and fun! We are currently searching for our Class of 2013 Senior Models! This is an amazing opportunity to show the world what you've got! You don't have to be a perfect model size or look like a model to get IN. We base our decision on personality, giving back to the community, extra-curricular activities, and eagerness to be in the program. We are looking for individuals that truly appreciate what Emily Potts Photography is all about and who would like show their true beauty.

We are accepting only a limited number of models! Here are the details:

Our models receive a a FREE mini-session that will take place before April 10, 2012.   
Models receive discounted portrait pricing, and exclusive gifts and bonuses. 
Models will see their portraits displayed in prominent advertising, including on a billboard, in print ads, on facebook and on the website! (In other words, don't be surprised if you get recognized!) 
Only EPP models will be invited to join us for our Senior Modeling Event where they will be truly treated like a fashion model for a day t 
Models receive 50 complimentary rep cards, the "I got SHOT by Emily Potts" shirt, and let's not forget . . . unequivocally cool bragging rights!   ;)   
Models are required to buy into the program at $195, but all of that is credited to their senior portrait order! PLUS they pay absolutely nothing for their senior session - it is FREE! (In other words, their senior session fee is waived and the entire $195 goes towards their prints and products.)

I love it when they laugh this hard!

I am addicted to little-kid belly laughs! I think they're the best-sounding thing on the planet. I photographed this little guy as a newborn, as a one-year-old as a two-year old and again as a four-year-old. He is so fun and eyes-closed-belly-laughter (at my total lack of dignity during a session) is his specialty! Here are a couple of my faves from his session!

A-DOR-A-BLE
